SPONSOR A CROCKPOT RECIPE
Become a #Community Harvest Crockpot Recipe Sponsor and take an active role in ending hunger in your community. What could be more rewarding than working together with your friends, classmates, neighbors or colleagues and your community in helping meet the goal of 12,000 meals for area families in need?
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
Each Recipe Sponsor adopts one of the winning recipes (above). Recipes are available on a first-come, first-opportunity basis

As a Recipe Sponsor, you agree to rally your team (e.g., church, business, school, organization, Scout troop, friends, family, neighbors, etc.) to fulfill the canned, boxed and/or dry good ingredient requirements for 425 bags. You can do this in three different ways:
-
Gather all recipe ingredients (just the canned, boxed or bagged dry ingredients - we'll cover the rest)
-
Partial actual recipe ingredients with balance as a monetary donation. The average per meal cost is about $12
-
100% cash donation - $5,000
There are many fun ways to meet your 425 meal goal. How you do it – whether as a team effort at the office, or through a challenge with neighbors and friends – is up to you. And, the sooner you get your group signed up, the more time you’ll have!

Recipe Sponsors will be recognized on the recipe card (logo and brief message) that will go home together with all the ingredients to make the meal. And, we’ll be making call-outs through social media and list sponsors on our website as groups commit to recipes.
The #Community Harvest Convoy will schedule pick-up from your designated location on Oct. 27 or morning of Oct. 28.

On Make A Difference Day itself (Oct. 28), the “#Community Harvest Convoy” will collect and transport the foods gathered by all sponsors to the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, where the day’s activities will include sorting, counting and packing food up for storage.

Commencing in November 2017, backpacks filled with sponsored recipes will begin their weekly journey to homes of families enrolled in the Food Backpacks 4 Kids program. Food for the Gig Harbor Basket Brigade’s annual distribution will be packaged up by volunteers on Nov. 22 - the day before the holiday - and delivered on Thanksgiving day.
