THE BENEFIT

This year The Big Sports Gig™ takes over Cheney Stadium on July 1st, when the Tacoma Rainiers take on the Las Vegas 51s.

The fun-filled Friday night, includes festivities for the whole family. Join in the pre-game grillins, brew and more at the TBSG Tailgate Party – and let the kids experience the thrill of participating in the on-field parade, whiffle ball, and games at the new Cheneyville play area. Rounding out the evening, raffle winners announced and the famous Friday night fireworks at the Stadium!

Proceeds benefit our community’s Recreation Scholarship Fund established in 2014 to help enable and increase the participation of economically disadvantaged youth in area sports and recreation programs across our greater peninsula community. Annually, the fund provides grants to qualified organizations to enable the participation of hundreds of area youth in local sports and recreation programs, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

THE CAUSE

THE IMPORTANCE

THE FOOD AND FUN

THE BENEFIT

Established in 2013, the Steward's Scholarship Fund helps bridge the early learning access gap in our community to give all children, especially those in greatest need, the strong start they deserve.

Investment in early education generates significant social and economic returns that strengthen our communities and our nation. Access to early childhood education allows youth to continue their path for success.

Every aspect of the farm-2-table meal is grown, produced, baked, brewed or stewed, within, about 50 miles of Gig Harbor. Each year a local chef, and their team, steps up to the 'locally grown' basket to prepare an amazing feast. The evening is replete with live music, annual TGG auctions offering unique experiences, art, and more.

Proceeds benefit the Stewards Scholarship Fund which helps to provide early childhood education opportunities to families in need, giving all children in our community, the strong start they need and deserve.

The Green Gig... an annual locally grown tradition!

Each year, The Green Gig™ provides the community an opportunity to join in an evening of great food, heartwarming stories, and bidding for unique items and experiences to benefit early childhood education in our community.

Now in its 7th year, the fun-filled evening features a complete 100% FARM-2-TABLE meal, replete with beverages, music, and fun.

Since 2012, the Foundation has provided over $80,000 to support early childhood education for nearly 250 area children by underwriting a portion of tuition costs for every student. Additional assistance is provided through the Stewards Scholarship Fund, established in 2013 to help close the early learning access gap in our community and give all children, especially those in greatest need, the strong start they need and deserve. The past 4 years have sold out, so get your tickets early!

Proceeds benefit the Stewards Scholarship Fund and our work to help bridge the early learning access gap in our community.
