Josh has worked with the Foundation since early 2015. He is a graduate of Gig Harbor High School and holds an A.A. in Integrated Multimedia from Olympic college and a B.A. with an emphasis in multimedia from Evergreen State College.
He loves the outdoors, and the interdisciplinary capacity that Evergreen provided him the opportunity to use academics to help explore those passions, multimedia and the environment.
While Josh now lives in the Poulsbo area, he grew up in Gig Harbor, living on Fox Island. So, the area has been his stomping ground for much of his life. He is an avid fisher and views fishing as an opportunity to fuel his interests in observing and learning about Western Washington ecosystems. Josh sees the natural environment as an endless creative outlet, a place to learn and a context in which the mind and body flourish. He intertwines his love of art and his skills to express himself and his ideas.
Over the past two years, Josh has assisted in the development of virtually all of the Foundation’s print media for its many projects, programs and events. Additionally, through GGHF he has supported graphic work for the Gig Harbor Film Festival and the Students of Distinction program. Among his bigger undertakings for the Foundation was graphic design for Gig Harbor-Opoly.
In 2017, the Board of Directors selected Josh as the second recipient of the Distinguished Volunteer Leadership Award. Josh has continuously given generously of his time and talents for the benefit of the Foundation and the greater Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula communities we serve.
