Since 2004, Ric Hallock, his wife, Christina, and their two sons, Dawson and Kolton, have made Gig Harbor their home.
Ric works as a contract editor of Gig Harbor Life, a weekly community newspaper. He co-owns and operates Green Onion Media Services, LLC, providing multi-media services since January 2012.
A strong believer in community service, Ric has volunteered in many capacities — mostly in activities centered around his family. He has served as volunteer coach for baseball, football and soccer with the Peninsula Athletic Association (PAA), Gig Harbor Little League, Peninsula Youth Football and Bulldogs Football every year since 2004.
He currently serves as assistant coach to the Peninsula High School freshman baseball team. He has been a Peninsula Athletic Association (PAA) board member since 2009 and has served as president of the PAA board since 2010. He also joined the board of directors of the Peninsula Youth Orchestra this year.
Ric also volunteers his time as webmaster, having built and currently maintaining the online presence for Harbor Christian Schools in Gig Harbor.
In his spare time, Ric hosts a weekly two-hour radio program on KGHP-FM that is currently a talk show format with co-host Lee Giles. Ric started the program in 2005 playing blues music.
He is looking forward to broadening his community service through ongoing work with the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, working with others to improve the quality of life in Gig Harbor.
